Linda Jessee Managing Director

Ms. Jessee joined AE Capital as principal in 1999, focusing on cross-border M&A transactions, with particular emphasis on selling undervalued and loss-making companies. Prior to that she was Managing Director at HVB Capital Markets, Inc., the investment banking subsidiary of Hypovereinsbank, where she ran the Corporate Finance Department from 1989-1999.


Ms. Jessee has worked on a wide range of corporate finance transactions including acquisitions and divestitures, private equity and debt placements, tax advantaged bond issues, valuations and joint ventures. In her 20 years as an investment banking specialist, she has been active in a number of industries including paper and packing, building materials, food and beverage, office supplies, writing instruments and steel.


Ms. Jessee has an MPA from Princeton University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Austin College where she majored in economics and German literature.

Frank Folz
Managing Director

Mr. Folz began his Wall Street Career with Salomon Brothers and was subsequently a partner with the technology investment banking firm of Needham & Company for 10 years. He has been affiliated with AE Capital and its predecessor firm since 1995. He has completed numerous merger and acquisition and financing transactions for industrial and technology clients.


Mr. Folz has had significant involvement in the electric utility industry and is currently assisting a client, Airspan Networks, in the North American roll-out of the company’s smart grid wireless communications product. This broadband radio solution provides wireless connectivity across the utility’s service area and enables real-time SCADA, tele-protection, demand response and AMI backhaul applications.


Mr. Folz began his career as a financial analyst with the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn Michigan and subsequently worked as a management consultant in the Detroit office of Deloitte & Touche. He has a bachelors degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.


James J. Arendt
Vice President

Mr. Arendt has over 25 years of experience in corporate and real estate finance. Prior to joining AE Capital, Mr. Arendt worked for Credit Suisse (formerly Credit Suisse First Boston) in their IT Finance group for eight years. Over the course of his career he has worked for a number of well-known firms in a wide variety of areas including sale-leasebacks, equipment leasing partnership structuring and funding, and real estate workouts. Mr. Arendt was a Project Director at KG Land New York (subs. of Kumagai Gumi Co., Ltd) where he was responsible for the negotiation, development and financing of over $2.0 b in real estate development projects in NYC and Washington, D.C. He also served as a Sr. Vice President of a Japanese investment company that invested in U.S. properties and development projects for Japanese clients, and subsequently managed those investments.


Mr. Arendt received his MBA in finance from the NYU Stern School of Business. He simultaneously earned both BS (biology) and BA (economics) degrees from the University of Hartford. Mr. Arendt is a Navy veteran.



Gregor Medinger Senior Advisor

Mr. Medinger is a Senior Advisor at AE Capital. He is the recently retired President of HVB Capital Markets, Inc. (HVBCM). He joined in 1980 as Executive Vice President and became President of BV Capital, the predecessor to HVBCM, in 1985. BV Capital had activities in securities, investment banking, municipal finance and real estate advisory.

Gregor Medinger was born in Vienna. He graduated with a doctorate of law from the University of Vienna. A citizen of both the United States and Austria, he has lived and worked in New York for over thirty years. He also serves on several corporate and investment company boards.


Cengiz Selman Senior Director

Mr. Selman has been involved in international corporate finance for over 20 years.

Prior to working with AE Capital, he was a Director of a European private equity investment group. Before that, he was a Managing Director of Global Private Equity at Dresdner Kleinwort Capital and Head of Private Equity Advisory at HVB Capital Markets. Over his career, Mr. Selman has invested in leveraged buyouts, venture capital and real estate properties in the U.S., Europe and emerging markets. - Mr. Selman serves on a number of boards of private equity funds and privately owned companies.


Previously, Mr. Selman ran the Corporate Financial Advisory/Mergers & Acquisitions Team at HVB Capital Markets and advised on a large number of acquisitions and divestitures internationally.


Mr. Selman has an MBA from Columbia University and a Master of Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
